Thomas Williams, 89, passed away December 28th after a short illness. He was born in Chicago on August 15, 1929 and graduated from Oak Park High School in 1947. He was the son of Thomas Ernest Williams Sr. and Ruth Meyer. His older sister, Grace, predeceased him. He made his living in the entertainment business as an actor (Broadway debut in "Tall Story"1959), also singer, character voices for animated films, taught classes in character voices for several years. Tom worked for Jack Webb at Mark 7 Limited for 15 years. In 1968 and 1969 was assistant producer on "Adam 12" and also was an actor on the show. From 1970 to 1975 he was the producer of " Adam 12". Before his career in television he was a veteran of over thirty musicals to his credit in theatres across the country. He cut his show business teeth as a radio announcer in Chicago and Atlanta and worked in shows for the Special Services during his tour of duty with the Air Force for 28 months during the Korean War. He is survived by his niece, Linda Chiappetta, and her husband Joseph, great niece Victoria Hess and her husband Scott and their children, Brayden and Sophia Grace.
A memorial service will be held at St. Martin-in-the-Fields on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. 7136 Winnetka Ave., Winnetka, CA 91306
