

Greenberg, Alan M. of Las Vegas, formerly of Quincy passed away peacefully on April 19th after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He was 65. Alan was the beloved son of the late Sumner and Minna (Close) Greenberg. Beloved husband of Robyn A. Shlager. Devoted father of Stefanie (Greenberg) Johnson and her husband, Matt and their new baby girl, Alan’s first grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Sharyn Greenberg Rauer and Nancy Greenberg Mollitor, his wonderful aunt Marcia Greenberg, cousins Jerry and Caryn Greenberg and many other family and friends. Along with his father, Alan was a successful owner of a chain of laundromats in Eastern MA for many years. He was an elected board member of both the Northeast Coin Laundry Association and the National Laundry Association. Alan was very fortunate to be able to retire at the age of 57 and move to Las Vegas where he remained until his cancer diagnosis. Alan’s Jewish faith guided the way he lived his life leading him to take an active role in his Quincy synagogue where he served as a Board of Director at Temple Beth El. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 3:00 PM at Crawford Street Memorial Park, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
