Alison Mae Trager, 71, of Cohasset, MA passed away surrounded by family on October 20, 2026.
Ali Mae was a proud native New Yorker, who loved cooking and bringing family together, especially on Jewish holidays. She became the neighborhood grandmother, sharing her truest opinions and lots of snacks. She looked forward to summers at the Music Circus with her friends and grandchildren, connecting with friends and family no matter how far, and Trader Joe’s runs. She lived to care for and feed the people she loved.
Ali dedicated 40 years of her professional life to State Street. Some of her favorite hobbies included cooking, frequenting local movie theaters, reading, dancing, Broadway shows, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Ariel, her son-in-law Jason, her beloved grandchildren Dakota, Hunter, and Bruin, her best friend of 70 years, Robin Zane and husband Don Burger, her brothers and sisters—Bruce and Sally as well as Brian and Helene—her nieces and nephews, decades of wonderful friends, and the many daughters she acquired over the years who fell in love with her. Last but not least, her favorite dog, Ranger.
Ali’s life was defined by the people she loved, the experiences she embraced, and the memories she leaves behind. Her love for Ariel and her grandchildren was at the heart of everything, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
She lived a full life and leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Beechwood Cemetery at the intersection of Doane and Beechwood Street, Cohasset, MA.
