WE REMEMBER HIM

At the rising of the sun and at its going down, we remember him.

At the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter, we remember him.

At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember him.

At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, we remember him.

At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember him.

At the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember him.

As long as we live, he too will live; for he is now a part of us, as we remember him.

When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember him.

When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember him.

When we have joy we crave to share, we remember him.

When we have decisions that are difficult to make, we remember him.

When we have achievements that are based on his, we remember him.

As long as we live, he too will live; for he is now a part of us.

Prof. Zelevinsky was a remarkable person, teacher and mathematician. I interacted with only on a few brief occasions (at a math olympiad, at the Underground Jewish University in Moscow, and here in Boston). Every interaction was memorable, productive and encouraging. I'm deeply sorry for your and our loss.

Katya, I'm so sorry for your loss. You spoke of your father often and I know you loved him dearly. I enjoyed hearing stories about your many trips abroad with him. I hope that you and your family can find comfort in those wonderful memories.

Katya,
We are praying for you and your family for the loss of your father.

When I lost my dad, I found comfort in Psalm 27:4,

One thing have I asked of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD,
all the days of my life,
to behold the graciousness of the LORD,
and to seek him in his temple.

May God's grace watch over you.
