Barbara Harpel of Brockton, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at 96 years of age. Daughter of the late Ida (Yanovitz) and Louis Fine. Loving wife of the late Morton S. Harpel. Beloved mother of Richard Harpel and his wife Sharon of Stoughton, Karen Raphaelson and her husband Michael of W. Bridgewater, and Jeffrey Harpel and his wife Kris of Cranston, RI. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Harpel and his wife Lisa, Ethan Harpel and his wife Brianna, Steven Raphaelson and his wife Katie, Sarah Krueger and her husband Jeremy, Jordan Harpel, and Benjamin Harpel. Great-grandmother of 6. Cousin to the late Marcia and Helen Bornstein.
Barbara was born in Boston on May 3, 1929. She was very active at her synagogue, Agudas Achim in Brockton. Barbara enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, loved the outdoors and playing Mahjong.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Shiva will be held following the burial at the home of Richard and Sharon Harpel until 7 PM.
