Freedlander, Bernard, of Framingham, MA, after a short illness, passed away on July 16, 2017. Beloved husband of Ethel (Pahuskin) Freedlander. Devoted father of Cheryl Holland and her husband Jim of Leicester, MA, Karen Avery and her husband Dan of Framingham, MA, & Neil Freedlander and his wife Suzzete of Framingham, MA. Proud grandfather of Sarah, Jacob and Jesse Holland, Brad and Janine Avery, & Carter and Emma Freedlander. Loving brother of Barbara Bernstein of Durham, NH. Bernie is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Bernie was born in Chelsea, MA in 1934 to Etta and Nathan Freedlander. Bernie attended West Point and graduated from University of Maine. He began his career as a mechanical engineer then opened Berland Personnel Agency, Hot Plates Co., & The Clean Machine Car Care Center. As he never really retired, he began teaching classes at Mass Bay & Keefe Technical High School, writing the course text book. He loved traveling (over 70 countries visited). He was outgoing, was a joker, and a master storyteller. He will be missed by family and friends. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12 Noon. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at the home of Ethel Freedlander until 8:30 pm, and will continue Wednesday and Thursday1-4 & 6-8:30 pm, and Friday 1-4 pm.
