Charlotte Elaine Gassman

Beloved wife of Manuel Gassman for 72 years. Devoted mother of Dr. Jeffrey Gassman and his wife Ronde, Wendy Leavitt and her husband Peter, and the Late Edmund Gassman and his wife Kathy. Loving sister of Ruth Hattler and the late Dr. Arthur Hattler, and Lynne Buckman and her husband Larry. Cherished grandmother of Craig Gassman and wife Laine, Jaime Watman and husband Michael, Brett, and Abbi Gassman. Dear great-grandmother to Hadley and Vera Gassman, and Cambri and Brodie Watman.

Charlotte loved entertaining family and everyone enjoyed her cooking – especially on holidays when all together. After raising and entertaining her children with trips to the beach, and family vacations, she cherished watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. Charlotte was fulfilled with her volunteer position at the Swampscott Public Library and was an avid reader all of her life. She was devoted to Manny and they loved traveling together with friends and family.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Chelsea Jewish Life in Peabody and the many private Caregivers, including those from NeighborGood Care, who assisted Charlotte daily, enabling Charlotte and Manny to remain together.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, 2:45pm, at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA 02067. Services will be livestreamed at: tinyurl.com/CharlotteGassman
