

Dana Marshall Cooper, of Bridgewater, formerly of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away after a courageous battle with Lewey Body Dementia on January 5, 2026, at the age of 77. He was the beloved son of the late Louis J. Cooper and the late Ruth Goodstein Cooper.
Dana was the loving husband of Cheryl L. Cooper (Packer), with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Ellen Cooper and her husband James Callahan of West Bridgewater, and Rachael Tardanico and her husband Carlo of East Bridgewater. He was a proud and loving Papa to Jake and Ryan Callahan and Emily, Giuliana, and Vincent Tardanico.
Dana was a graduate of Newton North High School and earned his associate’s degree from Boston University. He owned and operated Sunny’s Cigar Store in Mattapan Square, for over 20 years. A true “Mr. Fix It”, Dana could often be found tinkering in his garage or yard, or walking his beloved dogs, Smokey, Willie, and Copper, around Deer Park when he lived in Randolph.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026, at The Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, Massachusetts, followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park.
The family will be observing shiva/receiving visitation following the service on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 3-7 PM at the Clubhouse at Stone Meadow, 105 Brookstone Drive, Bridgewater, MA 02324.
