Born in Brockton, MA on March 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Edith (Brener) and Barney Katz and the brother of Lois Rosen (Herb) of Sudbury, and Arlene Swan of San Diego. Beloved uncle of Sinde Fredeking (Malcolm), Randy Swan, Eric Rosen (Hadassah Segal), Alisa Rosen, Alan Rosen (Abigail Posner), and great-uncle to four grandnieces.
Elliot had many interesting and varied careers. He was an instrument flying instructor, assisted in working on yachts, ran Elliot’s Deli in Stoughton, helped manage United Furniture in Brockton, and built and managed music studios in the same building.
He was a member of the Prime Timers, and worked behind the scenes with the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus.
He leaves many dear and close friends, including the late Carl Woods, as well as Ron Nsubuga, his caregiver during his latest illness.
Funeral services will be at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Monday, September 18th at 1 PM, followed by interment at Agudas Achim Cemetery in Brockton.
