Beloved husband of Barbara (Sussman) Strizhak for 55 years. Devoted father of David and his wife Elise, and Robin and her husband Adam. Cherished grandfather of Ally and Ben. Loving brother of Adrian. Elliott was predeceased by his parents, the late Louis and Helen (Kassimir) Strizhak.
Elliott graduated from CCNY and Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Masters in Engineering. He taught for 5 years at Northeastern University, and tutored and mentored countless students. He worked at Raytheon and Polaroid, along with a myriad of start-ups. He was always interested in learning more and trying new things. Elliott loved to travel, garden, turn wood on his lathe, teach himself Italian and Yiddish, play endless games of Solitaire, text his granddaughter, cheer for Mancity, and read about his old stomping grounds in New York City. Elliott was a coach, an athlete and an avid volunteer for various groups, from the Lowell Boys & Girls Club to judging high school robotics competitions.
His kindness, unparalleled sense of humor, compassion, wide grin and gentle soul, will be remembered and missed by so many.
Funeral Services and burial will be private. A celebration of life to occur in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elliott’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org
