It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Elfbaum, who left us peacefully at the age of 88 on June 5, 2025. He was born in Boston on October 23, 1936, and lived a life filled with hard work, laughter, and love. Gerald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was married to his beloved wife, Beverly (Colebourn) Elfbaum, for 60 years. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and memories. Gerald was the proud father of John and Lawrence Elfbaum, and a doting grandfather to Melissa, Samantha, and Anastasia. His family grew even richer with the arrival of his great grandchildren: Braighan, Kamdyn, Morley, and Osmani, each of whom brought him endless joy. He was the son of late Sarah (Bloom) and Harold Elfbaum, and brother of Stanley Elfbaum.
Gerald’s life was a testament to dedication. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. But his true joy came from making others laugh. He had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor, always finding a way to bring a smile to those around him.
Gerald loved spending time with his family, often playing games, sharing stories, and creating lifelong memories. He cherished these moments and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
He will be forever loved and remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, and the love he so freely gave.
