

She grew up in Brighton, MA and after High School attended Boston University earning an associate degree in Arts where she loved drawing and ceramics. She met her beloved Melvin, married, and had two children Barry and Lynne. Before retiring, she worked at Newton-Wellesley Hospital for over 40 years as the catering director.
Gilda was an avid sports fan and loved all the New England teams especially the New England Patriots as she had season tickets for several years. Gilda also enjoyed playing tennis, golf, bocce ball, bowling, and bingo. She would never miss her grandchildren’s sporting events and would always coach them from the sideline. In the past decade, she loved being around her great grandchildren whom she admired so much.
Gilda is remembered by her children Barry, and Lynne Dutchka and her husband Anthony of Marlborough; her adored grandchildren Nichole Kerrissey and her husband Brian of Hudson, Lauren Hogan and her husband Benjamin of West Boylston, and Joseph Palma and his fiancé Heather Monroe of Marlborough, and her treasured great-grandchildren Rosanna, Michael and Brian Jr Kerrissey, and Benjamin Jr, Geno and Bruce Hogan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon.
