Gurnice Norma Andler

Gurnice was born on April 14, 1932 in Boston, MA to the late Harry and Edith (Dreiker) Berger. She grew up in Roxbury and graduated from the Jeremiah E Burke (Girls) High School. Her organizational and bookkeeping skills were well utilized as she worked in a number of places in her career as an Administrative Assistant for FETCO in Rockland and Drug & Cosmetic Sales in Delray Beach.

In 1950, she married Philip Andler and they settled in Randolph, MA where they raised their four children.

Gurnice enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, travel, sewing, knitting, embroidery, wallpapering and visits with her family and extended family. She gave time to many charities such as Meals on Wheels and was an avid volunteer at Temple Beth Am in Randolph, MA. She was very active in B'nai Brith and as an adult volunteer helped run major events for USY.

Predeceased by the love of her life, Philip Andler, they were married for 68 years. Devoted mother of Richard Andler (Anne), Howard Andler (Stacy), Laurie Bryden (Randy), and Gary Andler (Pam). Loving sister to her late siblings Doris Ellis and Bernard Berger. Survived by dear sisters-in-law Janice Berger and Florence Andler. Cherished grandmother of Avima & Chris, Joshua & Erin, Stacey & Tim, Kaitlyn & Jason, Matthew, Scott & Josie, Evan and Ross. Great-grandmother of Jared & Jessica, Alyssa, Jaslyn, Bryden and Clara. Great-great-grandmother of Delsin. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Compassionate, loving, charitable, well respected and a can-do person, she will be missed by those who had the privilege to know her.

Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Friday, June 10th at 10:00AM, followed by burial at Agudas Achim Cemetery, 1000 Pearl Street, Brockton.

Memorial observance will be held at Ahavath Torah Congregation Synagogue, 1179 Central Street, Stoughton immediately following burial until 2:00pm. Shiva visitation will continue at the synagogue on Friday from 3-7:00pm.
