Heide M. Davis

Heide M. Davis, 88, of Hanover, MA, entered into rest on Friday, October 20, 2023, surrounded by sons, Rob and Eric. She was the beloved wife of the late A. Peter Davis, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2004.

Heide was born in Bamberg, Germany, the daughter Richard and Marianne Brinz. Heide grew up in Germany in World War II, her mother a seamstress and her father a baker. She worked as a bookkeeper, and married Peter in 1960. Peter and Heide raised their two sons in Hanover, MA.

Heide was dedicated to classical music, and sang with Harbour Choral Arts for many years. She was a founder of the Hanover Permanent Scholarship Fund, which has been in continuous operation since 1978. Heide’s easygoing sense of humor, intellect and curiosity charmed every one she met.

Those left to cherish Heide’s memory are her devoted sons, Rob Davis and Eric Davis, her loving sister, Ute Reuther, her foster grandson Daniel Cruz, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at 12:00PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA with burial immediately following at Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will take place at the family home in Hanover on Tuesday from 3-7PM and continuing on Wednesday from 5-7PM.
