Herbert A. Kardon

Herbert A. Kardon, 82, of Stoughton, MA passed peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021, at Massachusetts General Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Cecile M. (Bailet) Kardon. They shared 52 years of marriage before her passing in 2015.

Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Samuel and Ethel (Sorin) Kardon.

Mr. Kardon was employed at Cambridge Trust Company in Harvard Square for 43 years, retiring as a Vice President and Investment Officer in 2007.

He enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He loved traveling and following the stock market, but his greatest joy came from his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Steven Kardon, Susan Cavallaro and her husband Rich, Lisa Rankin and her husband Jon. His grandchildren Julia, Matthew and Emily Cavallaro; Alyson and Jenna Rankin. He also leaves his brother Ralph Kardon and sister Shirley Foster.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11 am in Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to view the previously recorded livestream at:

A luncheon will be held at the home of Lisa and Jon Rankin following the interment. Memorial observance to be held on Tuesday night 6 pm to 9 pm, Wednesday 1 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm. Weather permitting, it will be held outside.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Herb Kardon to Massachusetts General Hospital for the benefit of the Dr. Doreen DeFaria Yeh in the Cardiology Division.
