Beloved husband of the late Sylvia (Landy) Gordon. Devoted father of Marjorie Gordon Hurwitz and her husband Mark Hurwitz of Randolph. Cherished grandfather of Michelle Hurwitz, Rachel Contin Hurwitz and her husband Juan Contin.
Hyman served in WWII, in the United States Army band, stationed in Europe. He played saxophone and clarinet in the band he led in Boston. He was a mechanical engineer with Smith and Norrington. He played tennis until he was 90 and followed all the Boston sports teams.
