I. Ethel Spellman of Canton, previously of Brighton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 104 years of age. Daughter of the late Bessie (Silverman) and Morris Noah Hahn. Beloved mother of Bruce D. Spellman and his wife Linnea of California. Cherished grandmother of Elin Spellman. Great-grandmother of Dylan-Linnea Mitchell. Sister of the late Jacob Hahn and his late wife Esta. Aunt to Judith Horn and her husband Joel; and Steven Hahn and his wife Ellen. Great-aunt to Michael Hahn; and David Hahn and his wife Amara. Grand-aunt to Alex, Tyler, Maya and Hailey.
Ethel was born in Boston on July 26, 1921. She enjoyed traveling when she was younger, attending plays in both New York City and in Boston. She loved the Arts. Ethel also loved shopping in Filenes Basement. Ethel was a long-time bookkeeper at Boston Desk Company of Newton Highlands for over 40 years. She will be missed by all, and may her memory be for a blessing!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 12:45 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Please follow signs to Graveside Service which will lead you to the back of the administration building to line up for the burial.
