Dear daughter of the late Samuel Gouner and Helen (Spirtt) Drukman. Beloved wife of 60 years to Robert Greenberg. Devoted mother of Richard Greenberg and his wife Diana Piver of Abington, MA, Marcia Greenberg of Holbrook, MA and New York City, and David Greenberg of Holbrook, MA. Loving sister of Edward Drukman and his wife Lois of Weymouth, MA and the late Robert Gouner.
Ida was a gifted listener and counselor to friends, family and to her children’s friends who were often at her home. These young people sought her out for her sound advice, sustenance, and sense of humor. She was a talented cook and baker, often sharing her treats with friends and neighbors. She was most proud of her family, her lasting friendships and of her return to college later in life.
Ida will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to her family and friends, her quiet intelligence, her generosity, and her determination.
Funeral services will be at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Friday, March 22nd at 11:30 AM, followed by burial in Koretz Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
Memorial observance will be held at the home of Robert Greenberg on Friday following burial until sundown, Saturday after sundown until 9 PM, and Sunday from 1-7 PM.
