Jeanne S. Wolf

Jeanne S. Wolf of Dedham, previously of Milton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 79 years of age. Daughter of the late Esther (Epstein) and William Wolf. Sister of the late Judith Shair. Cherished aunt of Jessica Azoulay and her late husband Menahem of Chestnut Hill and Matthew and Karoline Shair of Lexington; great aunt of Joshua, Maya, Benjamin and Amelia.

Jeanne Wolf passed away peacefully after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia. A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, teacher, and friend, Jeanne will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the joy she brought to others.

Jeanne spent many years caring for her mother, Esther, and devoted her career to educating children as “Miss Wolf,” a beloved fourth-grade teacher. Her greatest companion was her dog, Teddy, whom she adored and cared for deeply. She shared a special bond with her niece, Jessica, especially after the passing of Jessica’s mother, Judy. Jeanne became an important part of Jessica’s family life, forming close relationships with Joshua, Maya, and even their dog, Chewie. She also treasured her lifelong closeness with her cousin Arlene; the two were like sisters and created many cherished memories together, especially at the family farm in Connecticut. As Jeanne’s illness progressed, Jessica, Arlene, and Susan supported her with love and dedication. She enjoyed her many visits, including those from Bob and Stephen. Despite the challenges she faced, Jeanne remained a warm, positive presence—her caretakers often spoke of her bright smile and kind nature.

Jeanne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who were touched by her loving heart. May her memory be a blessing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday December 12, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Kehillath Jacob Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, W. Roxbury.

Shiva will be held Jessica’s home Saturday evening 6-9pm and Sunday from 1-6pm with services at 4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne’s name, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org to help fight Alzheimer’s.
