Jonathan Braverman

We are sad to announce the passing of Jonathan Braverman at the age of 69 on January 9, 2025. Jon was the devoted husband and best friend of Carol (Abber) and the adored father of Allison and Jared. He was the loving brother of Nancy Braverman. Jon also leaves behind a brother in law, sister in law, and many nieces and nephews.

Jon grew up in Brockton, went to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and New England School of Law. Jon practiced Business Litigation in Braintree and Quincy as a founding partner at Baker, Braverman, and Barbadoro. Jon was well respected and liked by his fellow attorneys and clients for 38 years. Jon was a past President at Striar JCC and on the temple board at Temple Beth Emunah. Jon loved music, playing golf, and computer pinball to name a few.

Jon and Carol were married for 45 years after starting to date at the age of 12 and 13. Jon’s pride and joy were his 2 children Allison and Jared. Jon loved his family more than anything else.

Jon suffered for 6 long years with dementia, but like everything else in his life, he approached it with a huge amount of humor and grace. Jon will always be in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to a 10 AM funeral service at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Sunday, January 12, 2025, with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.

Shiva will be at his late residence, in the community room, from 1-6 PM.
