Joseph M. Gordon

Beloved husband of Elaine (Garber) Gordon. Devoted father of Martin K. Gordon and Karen Gordon Quintal and her husband Doug. Loving brother of Barbara and the late George Coleman. Cherished grandfather of Jackson and Leah.

Joe was a graduate of Boston Latin School and Northeastern University. He interned at the Patriot Ledger where he first combined his talent for writing with his passion for sports. Joe had a forty year career covering hockey and golf for the Patriot Ledger and the Boston Herald. He was a life member of the Baseball Writers Association and served as an officer and board member on both the National Hockey and Golf Writers Associations. In retirement he continued to be a frequent guest contributor to a variety of publications. In his retirement Joe spent his time enjoying his wonderful family and playing golf.

Services will be at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Wednesday, February 11th at 12 Noon, followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.

Memorial Observance will be at the home of Karen and Doug Quintal through Thursday evening.
