Beloved and devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart and late wife Ann Silverman Bernstein.
Martin leaves behind his daughter Marcia Uretsky and her husband Michael, son Gary Bernstein, son Richard Bernstein and his wife Laura; grandchildren Jake Uretsky, Laura Silva and husband Jamie, Jordan Bernstein, and Nicolas and Isabela Bernstein; great-grandchild Parker Silva; brother-in-law Alan Silverman; special nieces Paula Weinstein and Laura Snyder; plus many more nieces and nephews.
Martin was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester where he grew up and graduated from Boston Latin. After high school he joined the Army and was stationed in Korea. After his service, he got an accounting degree from Bentley College and worked for the majority of his career at Cambridge Lee Industries.
Martin will be remembered for his love of Broadway, breaking out in song without notice accompanied by air piano, and a sarcastic wit.
Graveside services will be held on July 20th at 12:45 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
