

Son of the late Rose (Simon) and Alec Klotz. Loving husband of Arlene (Rosenberg) Klotz of 50 years. Beloved father of Amy Klotz and her husband David Terry of Braintree, MA. Cherished grandfather of Leah and Shayna. Brother of the late Shirley Klotz, Evelyn Goldstein, and Paul Klotz and devoted brother-in-law to Dayle Cross of Burlington, MA and Eileen Klotz of Randolph, MA. Loving uncle of Faye (Ronald) Klein of Spokane, WA, Judy (Paul) McTiernan of Falmouth, MA, Matthew, Allison and Seth Klotz of Randolph, MA, William Cross of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Cross of Douglasville, PA, as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
Melvin was born in Boston in 1931. He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He received a Bronze Star recipient for his service in Korea. Trained as a jewelry and watch repairman, he later worked for the City of Boston Park and Recreations Department until his retirement. Mel was an avid photographer and gardener.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
