Myrna T. Epstein

Myrna T. (Bloom) Epstein of Dedham, previously of Newton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 92 years of age. Daughter of the late Rebecca (Becker) and Arthur A. Bloom. Beloved mother of Marc Epstein and his wife Annette of Sharon, Amy Holt and her husband Paul of Newton; and Aaron Epstein of Los Angeles. Cherished grandmother of Avidan Edelsberg, Kerren Roth and her husband Edgar, Daniel Edelsburg and wife Amber, Dana Starr and husband Matthew, Zachary Holt, and Paul Epstein (deceased). Great-grandmother to Zoe and Mia Starr; Levi, Ariel and Noa Roth; and Opal, Syren, and Benjamin Edelsberg.

Myrna was born in Boston, MA, on December 1, 1933. She was the matriarch of her family and took great joy in bringing family together, especially around the Jewish traditions and holidays that were so meaningful to her. She was always mindful of making sure everyone had a place to go. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of carrying those traditions forward and making them part of their own family’s lives.

She was curious and independent, with a spirit of adventure that stayed with her throughout her life. In her forties, she took up tennis, and in her fifties, she started her own specialty advertising company. She traveled the world, loved learning about different cultures, trying new cuisines, and finding special artifacts and keepsakes to bring home as reminders of the places she had visited.

Above all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest loves of her life, and she treasured watching her family grow. Being a great-grandmother to eight little ones was especially precious to her. Family was her greatest legacy, and the love, traditions and memories she created will continue through the generations.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service on Tuesday, Sept 15, 2026 at 11:45am at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Please follow signs to Graveside Service which will lead you to the back of the administration building to line up for the burial.

Shiva will follow the service at Marc and Annette Epstein’s home until 3:30pm and resume from 6:00 – 8:30pm at Amy and Paul Holt’s home.
