Nathan Dratch of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Westwood, MA, Needham, MA and Somerville, MA. Beloved husband of his dear, sweet Helayne (Bornstein). Father to Lisa Raffio, Lori Minsky (Gary), Elke Egbert (Bill), Douglas Dratch (Jill) and Dana Dratch (Esther). Brother to Claire Feldberg (deceased) Mary Rosenfeld, Joe Dratch (deceased) Morris Dratch and Paul Dratch (deceased). Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was lovingly known as Grumpsey to all of his grandchildren. He truly loved and took interest in each and every one of them.
Nathan was born on December 13, 1929 to Benjamin and Clara Dratch. He spent 2 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he went on to Boston University where he graduated with a degree in business administration. After graduating college, he went on and worked in various positions for military contractors. In 1965, with three kids and one on the way, he decided he wanted to be his own boss and started General Printing & Design. Starting from scratch, he created a business that supports dozens of families and is still in operation today.
For anyone that knew Nathan, the one person he cherished most was his dear, sweet Helayne - as she was the one and only queen to him. They were married for 68 years and every day was full of love. Nathan was very active both before and during his retirement. He enjoyed skiing with his children and was an avid tennis player - playing right up until June of 2022. He was proud of the fact that he was the oldest player in his club and played with men that were 25 years younger than him.
They do not make them like Nathan anymore, as he had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone. He will truly be missed.
