Born in Brooklyn, NY, Paul was introduced to photography by his stepfather at the age of eleven and it lit a passion and direction that defined his future. He went on to study at the Rochester Institute of Technology for his BFA and at the Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY for his MFA. An accomplished fine art photographer, his photographs are in major collections such as The John Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA; the George Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY; the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, France; the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, and others.
A kind, gentle and generous man, Paul also had a keen sense of humor that endeared him to others. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Edna Baron, and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Kaiser, his step-daughter, Dr. Elisabeth Berger and her husband, Rabbi Seth Wax, their cherished daughters Mia and Maddie, his cousin Paula Greenberg, his nephew, Raphael Baron, his sister-in-law Ruth Baron, and many caring and devoted friends. He will be sorely missed.
