Dear Jon and Sam,

My sincerest condolences on the recent loss of your mom. I got to see her at MGH on a recent visit there of my own a few months ago. We had some good laughs and some wonderful memory recalls. And I’ll never forget the friendship she had with Meryl and the mah jong games when they played at our house.

A lovely woman who is already being missed.

Sincerely, Ed Kaplan

Dear Sam and Jon,

Growing up a few blocks away from both of you is one of my fondest childhood memories. Your mom was like a second mom to me. She was always so warm, welcoming and inclusive. Even though my family is far away these days, we sent Paula a holiday card every year. Please accept condolences and love from the Thomas Family in California as you grieve. I wish I could be there in person to see you both. It's a very difficult thing to say goodbye to a mother. Love you both.
