

Daughter of the late Ida (Cohen) and Jacob Goldman. Loving wife of the late Solomon Chmara. Beloved mother of Beverly DellaValle and her husband Edmund of Hull; and Gail Chartoff and her husband Alan of Framingham. Cherished grandmother of Joshua, Rachel, Daniel, Seth and his wife Allie, and Adam. Great grandmother of Niko, Juliette and Evan. Sister of the late Elizabeth Gross, Milton Goldman and Robert Goldman. Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was born in Boston, MA on March 26, 1930. She grew up in Dorchester and raised her family in Mattapan. Phyllis worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager in Boston until she retired and moved to Lake Worth, Florida where she developed many new and cherished friendships and became active in Hadassah and other charitable organizations. After moving back to Boston where she lived for 7 years at Golda Meir House in Auburndale, she again made new friends who became a big part of her life and were very dear to her. Phyllis was an amazing, self-accomplished woman who touched so many lives with her love, kindness, support, loyalty and willingness to help.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:45 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
Family will be sitting Shiva immediately following the burial at the home of Gail and Alan Chartoff, and on Monday evening from 6-8pm and Tuesday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm, then continuing on Wednesday at the home of Beverly and Edmund DellaValle from 1-4pm and 6-8pm.
