Richard A. Rogers of Stoughton, MA, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, at 88 years old. Richard was born in Boston, MA on December 1, 1937, the son of the late Benjamin Rogers and Ruby Goodrich. Loving husband of Alberta L. Rogers for 42 years. Beloved father of Susan Rogers and her partner, Richard Covino, of Ipswich, MA; Michele Higgins and her husband, Geoffrey Higgins, of Yarmouthport, MA; and Lisa Rudenstein and her husband, Scott Rudenstein, of Sharon, MA.Cherished grandfather of Maxwell Rudenstein and his wife, Ilyse, of Canton, MA, and Abigail Higgins of Cambridge, MA.Great-grandfather of Simon Rudenstein and Dana Rudenstein of Canton, MA.
Richard was an avid Red Sox fan. He liked to travel and play Whist weekly with his friends. He especially enjoyed time with his family and extended family: Jonathan and Lisa Jacobs, Randy Jacobs, and grandchildren Bella and Quincy Jacobs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
Shiva will be held at the family home in Stoughton, MA.
