Robert (Bob) Lewis Levitz passed away on February 11, 2025. Bob was born on May 4, 1945, in New Britain, Connecticut, to Bea (Beatrice Koplowitz) and Julius Levitz. He grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. Bob met his wife Debbie in high school, and they were married for 57 years until Debbie’s death in October 2024.
Bob attended University of Hartford and served in the Army reserves. He graduated from Suffolk Law School in Boston in 1971 and passed the Massachusetts Bar. Bob established a law practice in Stoughton, Massachusetts where he practiced for over 50 years. Bob was involved in the community and served on the Stoughton School Committee. Bob was good-humored, devoted to his family, and dedicated to his clients.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife Debbie Levitz and son Jeffrey Levitz. He is survived by his son Michael (Bree) and beloved granddaughter Kelsey of Stoughton; sister Shellie Bergman, sisters-in-law Carolyn (Curt) Coleman, and Janet Holop Kaufman (Dr. Ronald Kaufman), and brother-in-law Joseph Holop (Maria Pechs); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Lindwood Memorial Park, 497 North Street, Randolph. Shiva will follow burial at his late residence from 4-8pm.
