Daughter of the late Jay and Elaine (Deitch) Stone. Predeceased by her sorely missed and deeply loved soulmate Robert Bretholtz. Beloved mother of Joshua Bretholtz of Costa Rica and Jared Bretholtz (Helga Gaysert) of Argentina. Cherished grandmother of Narayana, Cala, and Leah Bretholtz. Loving sister of Richard Stone (Ana) of Columbia and Shelley Stone of Florida. Adored aunt of Betsy, Susan, and Amy. Ronnie also was loved and treasured by many dear friends and colleagues and her devoted staff.
Ronnie was a force of nature who embraced her world with curiosity, intelligence, and passion. A former revered English teacher at Wellesley High School, Ronnie nurtured and challenged countless students, many of whom continued to stay in contact with her. She traveled the world and devoured books and movies and politics and, of course, the fortunes of her Red Sox. Once the season began, she did not miss a single pitch. She forgave them their often wayward ways and rejoiced in their triumphs. Her three granddaughters were at the core of her heart, and their gifts and exploits gave her enormous joy.
Family and friends are invited to honor her life on Friday, December 8th at 1:00 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Calling hours will be at her late residence following burial and continuing on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:30 PM and 6:30 to 10:00 PM.
