She is following her husband of 72 years who passed 10 days earlier. They did everything in their long lives together. Teenage dance partners that never parted. Daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Rosen. Survived by her son Larry Snyder and his wife Ellen, daughter Carol Lyon and her late husband Tom, grandchildren Sari Lyon, Scott Lyon, Jayme Snyder, Lindsey Adler, and Erica and Matt Kowalski, great-grandsons Mason and Miles Kowalski. Further loved by many relatives, friends and admirers all over.
Roz was born in Boston and grew up in Mattapan. She met Irving dancing at the Hecht House in Dorchester, and they never stopped dancing together. They married in 1951. She was the epitome of a mother devoting herself to her family. They moved to Sharon in 1961 and when her children went to school she started working at various jobs over the years, finishing her career at Hills Department Stores in Canton as an executive assistant. Throughout her life she was always admired and loved by everyone she met. She and Irving traveled the world with many of their friends and they had a wonderful life together. It is not surprising that they passed from this world as they lived, close together.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday November 3rd at 10 am at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
After services, all are welcome to Larry and Ellen’s home in Sharon until 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosalyn's name may be made to the Orchard Cove Enrichment Fund for the Skilled Nursing Staff, 1 Del Pond Drive, Canton, MA 02021.
