Anita Alice Cardwell

She was born May 30, 1964 in Spencer, Ohio to Gayle Clifford and the late Peter Neura. Anita graduated from Cloverleaf High School. Following high school she worked for Air Wisconsin Airlines. She later started a career with the North Canton Police Department in the communications center. She retired as their lead dispatcher after 30 years of service in September 2025. Anita was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and was an active member of Faith Family Church, North Canton. She enjoyed spending her time fishing and boating on Lake Erie. She also loved animals and caring for her plants. Anita loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially as Mimi to Trevor.

In addition to her father, Anita was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilson and Alice Young, and Theodore and Malvina Neura; and her beloved dog, Ella Marie. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Douglas; mother, Gayle (Larry) Clifford; children, Grady John Malachowski, Logan Malachowski, and Camden Malachowski; stepchildren, Jamie (Mitch) Race, and Kyle (Justin) Cardwell; grandson, Trevor Race; siblings, Ted (Kelly) Neura, Peter R. "Buddy" (Heather) Neura, Janice (Jack) Fisk, and Ruthanne Orrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Avenue NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or Faith Family Church.
