After an 87 year journey, mom has gone to her heavenly home. Bessie was born August 7, 1928 in Girard, Ohio.
She received a bachelor’s degree in theology from Malone College. She was a school bus driver for North Canton City Schools for 11 years. Bessie was also a volunteer paramedic for the Greentown Fire Department.
Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lauby, her parents, and siblings. She is survived by two daughters; Denice (Chuck) Mumford and Joann (Dan) Weirich; her grandchildren, Stephen Mumford, Scott Mumford, Charity Mumford, Sarah (Jason) Chester, Brenton (Sara) Weirich, and Joshua (Jenn) Weirich, and great-grandchildren, Jared Mumford, Honesty Mumford, Jadah Weirich, and Kimee Weirich.
Bessie loved the Lord and was a member of Faith Family Church in North Canton. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm on Saturday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Pancher officiating. Interment will be in Greentown Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm before services at the funeral home.
