Billy A. Wise

Billy (Bill) Alexander Wise 1930-2015 age 84, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was born on Oct. 5, 1930, to the late Harry and Helen Wise in Canton, Ohio. Bill was a 1948 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1952. He went on to work 36 years for Ohio Power Company. Bill attended St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton, Ohio. He was a past member of Lake Cable Recreation Association, and Jackson Township Lions. Bill was an avid life-long follower of the Jackson Polar Bears and Purdue Boilermakers. He also enjoyed reading and traveling. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his half-sisters, Pauline (Howard) Frazier, and Miriam (George) Casper; sister, Mary Kay (Tony) Julian; and most recently, his beloved wife of 63 years, Gerry.

Survivors include his daughter, Debra (Tim) Hostetler; and son, Douglas (Rae Jean) Wise; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m., in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
