Carol was born on August 13, 1937, in Confluence, PA to the late Charles E. and Mary C. (Silbaugh) Anderson. Carol was a graduate of the 1955 class of Confluence High School, where she graduated as Valedictorian. After high school, she attended secretarial school and then started her career at Kelley Springfield in Cumberland, MD where she met her first husband, Ted, and started her family. They later moved to Madison, CT and then Massillon, OH. After she retired, she moved back to Maryland and married her second husband, Jim, and enjoyed her retirement life in Cumberland. Carol enjoyed playing the piano and bells for her church, Centre Street United Methodist Church. She loved music and being outdoors. She enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, quilting, and needlework.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Linda Margo and Laura (Jeff) Potter, one son, Theodore C. (Rikke) Fritz, III, one stepson, Greg (Ann) Getty, one stepdaughter, Peggy Getty, seven grandchildren: Travis Potter, Ryan (Kathy) Potter, Jessica (Corey) Mauro, Andrew Potter, Carl Fritz, Jason Margo, and Jeannie Fritz; one great-grandchild, Ellis Potter, four step-grandchildren: Meghan (Zac) Whitt, Morghan (Robby) Collins, Daphanie (Jay) Jenkins, Stephanie (Shannon) Robinson and their children, one brother, Charles (Judy) Anderson, and one sister, Georgia (Mike) Redding.

Along with her parents, Charles and Mary, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters: Irene Shipley and her husband Leo, and Fay Rowland and her husband Bill; her first husband, Theodore C. “Ted” Fritz, Jr., her second husband, Judge James S. “Jim/Pop” Getty, Sr., her son-in-law, James Margo, and her stepson, James Getty, Jr.

A graveside service for Carol will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton, OH on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Reverend Gary Smith officiating.
