Darlene Jo Myers

Darlene Jo Myers, 82, of Canton died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Great Trail Care Center. She was born in Uhrichsville, Ohio, December 12, 1929 to the late Clarence A. and Mildred (Frye) Hawkins. An avid roller skater and square dancer, she and her husband were members of the Four Squares Club. She will be remembered for her love of gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Myers, eight years ago to the day on January 24, 2004; brother, Eugene Hawkins; sister, Mardell Humbert; and grandson, Neal Myers. She is survived by her sons, David L. of Magnolia, Daniel A. of Ft. Myers, FL, Don L. of Pittsburgh, PA, Daryl J. of Magnolia, Darius O. of Canton, Dennis R. of North Canton and Dorian T. of Canton; daughters, Darcy Scharver of Minerva and Dianna Pisani of Bolivar; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2:30pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment in North Canton Cemetery. Friends are received at the funeral home one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area, Chapter 70, W. Streetsboro St. Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
