

Don was born on January 30, 1949, in Canton to the late Chester and Virginia (Matheson) Reith. He worked as a supervisor at Timken for several years until he retired. Don was an avid people watcher. In his free time, he enjoyed playing on his computer and he loved to cook. He was also a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, his favorite slogan being “How ‘bout them Browns?”
Don is survived by his two children, Donald Jeffery (Leslee) Reith and Sara (Eric) Lancaster, honorary children: Kristina Diane, Brad Shelton and Corey Rodgers; 10 grandchildren: LeEricka, Asia, Alea, Trinitee, Micah, Sara, Sarinitee, Brook-Lynn, Mia, and Donovan; five great-grandchildren: Zha’Kaiya, Christian, Nola, Nora, and Jasai; six siblings: David (Pat) Reith, Shirley Snauffer, Kathy (Don) Tabellion (his favorite sister), Jimmy Reith, Rose Quitugua, and Lenny ( Sherry) Reith; ex-wife and lifelong friend, Sarah Fite, close friend, Jacob Owens, and many nieces and nephews.
Don is preceded in death by parents, Chester and Virginia, two grandsons, Quentin Poole Jr. and Tyler Scott Lancaster, his brother-in-law, Bob Snauffer, and his niece, Alexandra Quitugua.
Calling hours will be held at Zion’s Temple Church of God in Canton on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at the church on Saturday at 12:00 pm with Pastor George Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
