Edward J. Murray

He was born February 2, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late James and Burdella (Dunlap) Murray. Edward retired from the Hoover Company in 1998 after 25 years service. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton. Edward was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed woodworking. He especially enjoyed outdoor activities with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dale, Ron, and Ken; sisters, Judy and Beverly; and brother-in-law, Harold Endres. Edward is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joanne (Endres) Murray; daughters and son-in-law, Faith Murray, Nadine and Joe Burns; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Lauren Murray; grandchildren, Hailey (Logan) Mercer, and Jeremy (Ashley) Thompson; step-grandchildren, Rachel, Connor, and Adrienne Burns; and brothers, Gary, Mike, Fred, Tom, George, and John.

A visitation for Edward will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 241 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
