

Elaine Mae Boetticher was born September 29, 1924 to Oscar and Nettie Boetticher in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
She graduated from Powhatan Point High School in 1943. After graduation, she worked in the U.S. Post Office in Powhatan. In 1944, she married Carl P. Mock of Powhatan Point. Carl was an honorably discharged seaman. They moved to North Canton, Ohio where Elaine worked at the Hoover Company doing "war" work. They had 3 children, Diana Mock Yeagley (Jon), Robert P. Mock (Nina Kintigh), and Keith "Skip" P. Mock.
Elaine worked in the Canton Twp. School district as a cook at Waco Elementary School. Later, she was the cook for her grandson's school in Aurora, CO.
In 1959, Carl had a swimming accident that left him as a quadriplegic. Elaine was his caregiver for 44 years until his death in 2003.
After living in Aurora and Littleton, Colorado, Elaine moved to Brookdale Assisted Living in Alliance, Ohio.
She had 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Elaine was a member of the Minerva Methodist Church. She has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She was a past member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in East Canton, and Aurora First Presbyterian Church in Colorado.
Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery where she will rest beside Carl.
