

He was born March 23, 1924 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Otto and Grace (Ramsire) Le Beau. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in North Canton where he held various positions on Council, served as a deacon, and as a trustee. Ellis was a 1942 graduate of Jackson High School. He was a World War II Army-Infantry veteran. Ellis was a farmer in Jackson Township, employed by the Hoover Company, Casper and Mottice Floor Covering, co-owner of Au and Le Beau Floor Covering, self-employed as Le Beau Floor Covering, and retired district circulation manager for Evening Independent Newspaper. Ellis was a former volunteer Fireman at Station #1 of Jackson Township, member of Canton Antique Auto Club, and a Jackson Alumni Committeeman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Anna Mae Le Beau in 2009; and his brother, Dr. Dean Le Beau in 2011. He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Dan) Dennis of Canton; sister-in-law, Joan Le Beau of Massillon; sons, David A. (Nancy) Le Beau, and Gordon E. Le Beau of Canton; daughter, Darlene K. (Louis) Milavickas of North Canton; grandsons, Daniel (Chris) Le Beau, Jeffrey (Lauren) Le Beau; granddaughters, Maria (Collin) Artz, Laura (Mike) Bonnot; five step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; nieces, Lisa (Jim) Brady, Danielle (Jake) Dragomire, Ashley (Chad) Peterson; nephew, Shane (Kristin) Le Beau.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, 349 Lindy Lane NW, North Canton, with Rev. Mark Sherwindt officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call from 5-8pm, Wednesday at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, and Thursday, one hour (10-11am) prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church at the above address, or to the Stark County Humane Society.
