Elmer Tovissi, age 83, of Canton, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 after a short illness. He was born in Canton on October 8, 1931 to Louis and Irene (Sage) Tovissi. Elmer worked at Republic Steel for 32 years. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lewis and Alfred Tovissi; nieces, Leslie and Debbie Tovissi; and sisters-in-laws, Carol Dowd and Stephanie Tovissi. Elmer is survived by his brothers, Joe Tovissi of San Jose, California and Albert (Auldine) Tovissi of Canton; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends and family may call from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
