He was born October 21, 1949 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Charles and Edna (Lauderman) Angus. He was a graduate of Perry High School, and was a US Navy Air veteran of the Vietnam War. Skip worked as a machinist at Ashland Oil where he also served on the Ashland Oil Fire Department. He worked in the warehouse until he retired in 2010. Skip was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 2370 and Massillon VFW Post 3124. He enjoyed coaching Perry Midget Football, youth wrestling, Richville baseball and softball. Skip also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cliff Patterson; and his brother, Lanny Angus. Skip is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loretta Angus; children, Heath Angus, Aaron (Tammy) Angus, and Amber (Katie) Angus; grandchildren, twin girls Sophia and Allison Angus, Nathan Angus, and Rory Angus; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 2:00pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, OH 44718. Entombment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, two hours prior to services at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Oak Pointe Nursing Home and Staff for their very good care of Skip.
