George was born on March 26, 1939, to the late David and Sarah Cuckler. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1957. George enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, such as hunting, fishing, boating, playing cornhole with his family, and working on our oasis garden. He was gifted with a voice to sing a tune to all of us. Above all, George loved people and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He was Santa for years to his family and friend’s kids. George loved his Ohio sports teams: OSU, the Browns, and the Indians/Guardians.
George is survived by his wife of 40 years of August 16th, Debbi E. Cuckler. To this day he called her his Bride. They had a love story. He is also survived by his son, Brian J. (Joselle) Cuckler, his daughter, Wendy J. Barchalk, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathi and Mike Lackney, and his nephew, Toby Hoy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Michael G. Cuckler, who died in 2013, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Judy Falenski, who died in 1995 and 2022 respectively, and his sister-in-law, Christine R. Hoy, who died in 1998.
A graveside service will be held at North Canton Cemetery on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 1:30 pm with Pastor Scott Tuersley officiating and Trista Todd singing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in George’s name to the Stark County Humane Society. He loved and melted when he saw those animals’ faces. We would like to thank the staff at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care for their loving care in his final days.
