He was born August 27, 1930 in Dennison, Ohio to the late George A. and Leota (Zaroff) Swauger. George was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of VFW Post 3747.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister. He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, Mary Swauger; brother, Arthur Leroy Swauger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 10-11am on Wednesday, one hour before services at the funeral home.
