IN THE CARE OF

Karlo-Libby Funeral Home & Sunset Hills Memory Gardens

Gloria Block, 99, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 16th, 2025 at her residence in Canton, Ohio.

Gloria was born the youngest of five children near Montague, Michigan in 1926 to Harvey and Myrtle Huston. She met her husband (Don) after being a ‘pen pal’ with him during his active duty in WWII. They were happily married in 1947 and remained so until his death in 2020. They moved to Akron, Ohio shortly after being married then moved to the Massillon, Ohio area where they raised their family.

Together they had four children. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was active in McDonaldsville United Methodist church until her later years, participating in various organizations and ministries.

Preceding her in death are her parents, 4 siblings and her husband. She is survived by her children Linda Cusack (Chris), Jim Block (Sandy), Pat Grimsley (JR), Amy Schott (Randy) , grandchildren Sean Cusack (Michelle), Andy Cusack, Jeremy Block (Megan), Mike Block (Margaret), Brian Block (Liana), Kyle Adams (Megan), Daniel Adams (Charity), Samantha Waltz (Jared), Ben Schott (Kylie), Rachel Schott (Emily), and 13 (soon to be 14) great-grandchildren.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving, compassionate care given to our mom by all the staff at The Inn at Belden Village and Southern Care Hospice.

A private service honoring Gloria's life will be held for the family and she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
