I remember Harold as a very kind person.  As a snotty nose neighbor kid the Mottice home was home away from home; hanging out with Speedy, Billy, Gary, Oney and Nancy.  Mr and Mrs Mottice always treated us kids nice.  I remember the swimming pool he built us, and the great yellow apples we all ate from their apple tree, and throwing the ball for Iox to return!  Great memories of a great person who will be missed.

Those of us who were SO fortunate to have known Harold Mottice can ccount our blessings because this fine man was a part of our lives.  I first met him through my husband and his youngest brother Chuck Mottice, over 70 years ago and he has been a friend and a brother ever since. Also, he was so amazing in that he was able to plant a garden as recent as last summer and he willingly shared his vegetables with me. In adition, everytime I look at my beautiful butterfly bushes, I will be reminded of him and his kindness as he planted them and trimmed them each spring. Harold will never be forgotten by all who loved and knew him. Our hearts are truly saddened by his loss. May you rest in peace brother. You are loved.

Dad and Grandpa, as most of us called him, will be so missed.  We are so thankful for the long wonderful life he had.  A life in which he was such an example for not just his family but for anyone who knew him. Harold was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. I am happy he is now reunited with his wife and three oldest children.  I am sure they are having a party.  We will miss him terribly.

Grandpa heaven got a great and wonderful man. You loved your family, you showed me what it meant to work hard, you stayed at a job for 43 years, that is something to be proud of. You loved Grandma so much, I will always remember the little looks you to shared with each other.  You always made sure we were cared for and loved. I remember so many wonderful things about our times with you and Grandma. I still remember when I drove out to see you and surprised you and Grandma,  you came out and said who is in my driveway. You and Grandma were so happy to see us. The joy in Grandmas face when she saw Tori and Ethan. It was so great to spend several days with you at your 97th Birthday. Grandpa you will be missed, I know you are now with Grandma, dad, Billy, and Nancy. Love you Grandpa!

Harold was not only a great man, a kind and gentle soul, he was my grandpa.  Always a smile or kind word, this man never had a cross word to say about anyone.  Over the years spending summers with him and grandma growing up, he never had to tell you not to do something he just looked at you, smiled, shook his head a little and you knew he did not approve.  He would then give you the biggest hug and tell you he loved you.  Try as hard as I might I could never be as kind as this man.  To know that he still believed Christ was his Savior after losing so much of his family made me so happy.  I will probably always try to live up to being a man like my grandfather.  This kind man has rejoined much of his family and is now tending God's garden in heaven probably growing the best tomatoes, beans and zucchini heaven has ever seen.  Grandpa I look forward to seeing you again, until then please give Grandma and my dad a hug for me.  I will love you forever, Ricky.

Sympathy to the Family.  He always had a kind word and smile every time we saw him.  Needless to say he will be missed.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Will miss driving now his street and seeing him sitting on the front porch. So glad we were able to visit him before we headed out West.
