

Helen C. Mocher, age 86, of Canton, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, June 15, 2011 at The Inn at Belden Village. She was born July 20, 1924 in Louisville, KY. Helen was retired from Mercy Medical Center where she worked as a pharmacy technician for 31 years, a job she truly loved. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was an avid bingo player at The Inn.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Alfred F. Mocher, Sr. in 1985; a brother, Harold Martin; and a sister, Alberta Goin.
She is survived by six children, Lynnette (David) Galica of Canal Fulton, Stephen (Mary) Mocher of Fraser, Michigan, Joanne Schmidt of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph Mocher, Joyce (Rick) Evans and Al (Donna) Mocher, Jr., all of Canton; sister, Norma Taylor of Louisville, KY; sister-in-law, Eva Mocher of Wadsworth; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:00am, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4940 West Tuscarawas St., Canton, Ohio with Rev. Fr. William B. Kraynak celebrating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. An hour of private viewing for the family will begin at 8:30am Saturday at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
