Ian B. “Scotty” Ritchie, aged 90 of North Canton, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 15, 2013. He was born December 17, 1922 in Motherwell, Scotland and immigrated to the United States in 1923 with his parents, John B. and Jean C. Ritchie, and brother, George. He was a longtime employee of Ohio Bell. He was married for 52 years to Virginia Joan Magnani, who predeceased him in 2002.
He is survived by his three children: Ian Keith Ritchie (Doug Bellrichard), Kevin Ritchie (Terie Zedell), and Lisa Crost (Bill); his four grandchildren, Megan Owens, Alison Ritchie, and Joshua and Zachary Crost; his brother, Malcolm Ritchie (Joan); and nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
