

Irene Graham-Giavasis, 91, after a long and full life, passed peacefully and surrounded by family on January13th, 2018. Born June 13th, 1926 in Avella, PA, Irene touched the lives of everyone who met her. She was a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Irene possessed a witty sense of humor, was accepting of everyone, and would always be there to help anyone in need. She loved to travel, was an exceptional bowler, and a member of the Red Hats society.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Adams; sisters, Elsie Schmucker, Esther Seefong, Betty Cunliff; brother, Donald Whaley; grandchildren, LaRinda Graham-Johnson, David Graham, Christopher Adams, Felecia Graham-Thurman, John Adams, Matthew Adams; Great-Grandchildren, Penelope Thurman, Miles Thurman; son-in-law, Fred Adams; daughter in-law, Patricia Graham-Kovatch, and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene is preceded by parents, Wesley Dean Whaley, (Mimmie) Willetta Dorothy Whaley; husband, Donald Graham; brothers, Arthur Whaley, William (Buck) Whaley, David Whaley, Elmer (Dean) Whaley, Leonard Whaley; sisters, Dorothy Brandt, Florence McCall; sons, Douglas Graham, Mitchell Graham.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 22 at 10 a.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Friends and family may call on Sunday, January 21 from 2-5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Entombment will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.
